We have barely more than a week to go before we officially enter the new Period 9 ( Li Gua or Period of Fire) on Feburary 4th 2024, beginning with the year of the Yang Wood Dragon!
By now, I expect that all of us Feng Shui practitioners and enthusiasts have updated ourselves with the new Feng Shui Flying Stars combinations for the new period and for the new year, and also of the different astrological forecasts for our personal Chinese *Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branches ( element and animal signs)
Here is a Feng Shui Checklist we can use as we prepare for the New Year and New Era.
1) Two weeks before or after February 4th , select a date to activate one protective star for your home. The location of the protective stars this year are as follows:
1) Duke Virtue ~ Jia sector ( East 1)
2) Duke Virtue Combo ~ Ji sector ( East 3)
3) Duke Prosperous/ Rewards ~ Yin Tiger sector (NE 3)
4) Yang Noble ~ Wei Goat sector ( SW1)
5) Yin Noble ~ Chou Ox sector ( NE1)
Guidelines to follow when activating the protection stars:
1) Activate within 2 weeks before or after Feb 4th
2) Choose good dates that does not clash with the year sign of the occupants of the home.
3) Prefer to follow the Great Sun/Moon formula of your home
4) Choose good dtaes where the element is either the same with the sector of the protection star of it is the element that is produced.
5) Prefer to select dates that has any of the Fortune Virtue stars.

2) Mitigating the 5 Yellow
It is a Feng Shui practice to mitigate the volatile energies of the 5 Yellow and the 2 Black stars each year when they fly to a sector other than their home sector ( ~which is the center for star 5 and the SW for star 2 )
For Period 9, putting metal at the SE3 ( 142.5 to 157.5 degrees) where star 2 is visiting is optional. The energy of star 2 is now more auspicious since it will be a future wealth star after this period. Only place metal at the sector if your SE has negative land forms and if you have a sick family member using this sector of your home.
This year, star 5 fies to the West 1 sector ( 247.5 to 262.5 degrees) . Place Heavy metals at the sector on a good metal date. If you cannot find a suitable metal date, you can use the 3 Harmony dates of the Great Sun formula above for your home.
Metal Cure date ~ January 27th Saturday is a Remove day which is good for placing your metal cures at the West 1 sector.
Time: 5:30 AM( best time) or 7:30 AM
Clash : Monkey ~ Those with the sign of the monkey will not benefit with this placement date.
Guidelines for Mitigation with the use of metal element
1) Preferably, use the Great Sun or Great Moon Formula dates for the placement of the metals on the sectors where the 5 Yellow and Black 2 are visiting. (it is however not necessary to use the Harmony dates if your house is NOT SITTING at the sector where the annual afflictions star is.)
2) The metals should be 6 in number, preferably of the same size, weighing 10 kg each, totaling 60kg. They should be ALL touching the floor (should not be stacked; on carpets can lessen the effect) and they must be exposed.
The heavy metals can be placed outside or inside the house.
Estimates on how much metal to use by size of the living space (+/- 2 kg)
a) <500 square feet = 6 pieces of 2.5 kg
b) <1000 square feet = 6 pieces of 5 kg each
b) >1000 square feet = 6 pieces of 10 kg each, total 60kg
3) Best Direction for Luck Manifestation for 2024 using Qimen.
The Northeast Sector has the best energy for wealth manifestation for 2024. Here is FS Master Iverson Lee's suggestion for wealth expression for this year.
1) After Feb 4th, sit down anywhere in the house, with your back to the NE and you facing the SW, enter into a sage mode ( calm and relax your mind)
2) Clearly ask what you want or desire in life ( it is advised to write your own personlized manifestation, although you can also just read aloud the sample manifestation above)
3) Claim and feel that you have already achieved what you manifested for
4) Write 3 things that you will do to achieve what you want.
You can do this manifestation each day but only for the year 2024.
